The Economy of Chihuahua, Mexico

The Chihuahua is one of the world's smallest dogs and is often referred to as a purse dog. In fact, Paris Hilton owned a teacup Chihuahua named Tinkerbelle for 14 years. This diminutive dog breed stands between 6 and 9 inches high. These little dogs were first found in ancient Mexico.

While livestock ranching was once a major economic source for the region, it now represents less than ten percent of total economic activity.
