A Chihuahua is an affectionate lapdog that loves to spend time with its owner. You may find him curled up in a corner, wrapped up in a blanket, or basking in the sun. It's not unusual to find this breed curled up on your bed or in your tote bag while you're away.

Brushing a Chihuahua is like a massage for a human, and will calm him down. However, you should try to do this in a quiet environment. Sometimes, a Chihuahua will act out if it senses outside stimuli, like the sound of birds. It may also act out before a planned walk.

The Chihuahua is a small breed of dog, making it ideal for an urban home. These dogs have short coats and are easily able to travel around. They form strong bonds with their owners and are easy to handle. While these little dogs can be slow to warm up to strangers, they are known to have a deep intelligence.

Chihuahuas can be a great companion and conversationalist. If they are socialized as puppies, they can stand up to larger dogs and birds of prey. They are not ideal for homes with young children, however.
